Gitem Demissie, aged 41, was shot and killed on March 19, 2017, inside his restaurant, Ibex Ethiopian Bar and Restaurant, on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident occurred late at night as Demissie was preparing to close the business. A masked gunman entered the restaurant and shot him multiple times before fleeing.
