Donquez Abernathy, a 14-year-old African American boy from Nashville, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on November 24, 2020. He was a passenger in a stolen pickup truck when a shooting occurred inside the vehicle on Interstate 24 near downtown Nashville. The driver, 12-year-old Abdiwahab Adan, was also killed in the incident. Two other teenagers in the truck were injured and taken to the hospital.
