In the late hours of a Monday evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 20-year-old Javion Scruggs, an African American male, was tragically cut short. On August 1, 2022, Scruggs was at a motel on Wallace Road. As he emerged from one of the rooms and began to walk across the parking lot, he was ambushed. An unknown man approached him from behind and fired a gun multiple times, inflicting fatal wounds.
