In the spring of 2008, a weekend of violence in Philadelphia claimed the life of 20-year-old Terron Epps, a resident of Upper Darby. On the evening of Saturday, April 19th, at approximately 6:11 p.m., the young Black man was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection of 57th Street and Haverford Avenue in West Philadelphia.
