Death by Force

Barry Parks, a 55-year-old Black man, was tragically murdered on August 28, 2018, in Philadelphia, PA. He was waiting for a SEPTA bus at the 600 block of West Erie Avenue in the Hunting Park section of the city when an unidentified Black male approached him. During a struggle that ensued, the suspect fired a handgun at Parks and then fled the scene on foot. Barry Parks was pronounced dead at the scene.
