On November 22, 2023, at approximately 4:21 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 2000 block of West Godfrey Avenue in the East Germantown section of Philadelphia. Upon arrival, they discovered 42-year-old Ernest Harris lying on the sidewalk in front of a barbershop, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head and several to the body.
