On July 8, 2023, at approximately 6:22 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 2200 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Steven W. Pugh Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Despite the medical team's efforts, Steven succumbed to his injuries on July 9, 2023.
