On September 16, 2023, 22-year-old Tamere Mountcastle was fatally shot in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 11:27 p.m. on the 1400 block of West Chew Avenue in the city's Fern Rock neighborhood. Mountcastle sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
