On the morning of September 16, 2023, at approximately 8:49 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Cumberland and Cleveland Streets in North Philadelphia. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Edward Harlem lying in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Officers promptly transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
