On a November evening in 2012, Michael Mcdonald, a 31-year-old man, was walking along a street in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. Just moments after leaving a corner store where he had purchased some candy, his life was cut short. He was found lying on the sidewalk, having sustained at least one gunshot wound to his back.
