On the evening of March 12, 2025, 23-year-old Rymir Pace, a Black male from North Philadelphia, was fatally shot in the Logan section of the city. The incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m. on the 4800 block of North 11th Street. Pace sustained three gunshot wounds to his stomach and one to his back. He was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by a private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 7 p.m.
The shooting of Rymir Pace was one of two fatal incidents that
took place within a short span of time that evening. Approximately 30 minutes earlier, another shooting occurred about a mile away in the Fern Rock section of Philadelphia. In that incident, a 22-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and head, resulting in his death. A 19-year-old male was also injured, sustaining gunshot wounds to his right hand, hip, and buttock. He was taken to the hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the shooting of Rymir Pace. No weapons have been recovered from the scene, and police have not publicly identified any suspects.
