On a cold December evening in Philadelphia, what began as a street corner dice game ended in the tragic death of Naeem Garfield. The 23-year-old African American man was with a group of men at the intersection of Salford and Market Streets on December 30, 2015, when an argument broke out over accusations of cheating. In the heat of the moment, another man, Khalif Thomas, pulled out a gun.
