Shane Albert, a 41-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, died on January 4, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His death was initially ruled an accident, but it was later determined to be a homicide. Albert was accused of dousing Charles "Frank" Calloway, a crack-house doorman, with gasoline before another man, Ullman "Julius" Taylor, set him on fire. Calloway died from his injuries, and Albert was convicted of murder, aggravated arson, and kidnapping.
