On a day meant for celebration, Father's Day, June 18, 2023, 37-year-old Matthew Michael Russo was last seen in Harris, New York. He had been taken by ambulance to Garnet Health Medical Center, but upon arrival, he refused medical treatment and left the facility on foot. Surveillance footage captured him walking away from the hospital. At the time of his disappearance, Matthew was wearing a black shirt, blue jean shorts, and black Nike sneakers.
He is described as a white male with blonde hair and hazel eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 145 pounds. He had no phone or money with him when he vanished.
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office launched an extensive search for Matthew in the wake of his disappearance.
