On a summer evening in Philadelphia, the life of 30-year-old Joshua I. Williams was tragically cut short by gun violence. On July 10, 2019, Williams and another young man, 21-year-old Dymir Hawkins-Williams, were both shot and killed in a double homicide that unfolded in the West Philadelphia neighborhood. The incident occurred on the 6100 block of Callowhill Street, where the two men were found with multiple gunshot wounds.
