Tyrone Poaches, 21, was killed on June 18, 2008, in West Philadelphia during an incident involving his friend, Tyrone Hill. The two had driven to a schoolyard playground on the 4900 block of Parrish Street when a fight broke out between Hill and another individual. After the altercation escalated, a third man, Troy Headen, allegedly drew a 9mm firearm and shot Hill multiple times. Poaches was present during the shooting and became a witness in the subsequent investigation.
