In the early evening of June 3, 2024, a 29-year-old Hispanic male named Nicholas Delgado was on the 3000 block of Water Street in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. It was there, at approximately 7:45 p.m., that he was shot, sustaining a gunshot wound to his right leg. Despite his injury, Delgado managed to run a few blocks to his mother's house before he collapsed outside.
