On June 3, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of a person with a gun on the 3000 block of Water Street in the Kensington neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old Nicholas Delgado lying unresponsive in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg. Officers immediately transported him to Temple University Hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at 8:41 p.m.
