Frank “Frankie Bronze” Baldino, a 46-year-old Caucasian male, was killed on September 17, 1993, in South Philadelphia, in the middle of a violent struggle for control of the Philadelphia crime family. He was described in contemporary accounts as a South Philadelphia bartender and an associate or friend of Joseph “Skinny Joey” Merlino, whose younger faction was challenging reputed mob boss John Stanfa.
