On a Tuesday evening in West Philadelphia, tragedy struck 31-year-old Tevin Kemp. It was around 8 p.m. on November 30, 2021, on the 5400 block of Sansom Street, when the night was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Kemp was outside of his home when he was shot multiple times.
Responding officers arrived at the scene to find Kemp grievously wounded, having been shot at least eight times.
He was rushed to Temple Hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life, but his injuries proved to be too severe. Shortly after his arrival at the hospital, Tevin Kemp was pronounced dead.
