Death by Force

On the evening of March 4, 2023, 14-year-old Anthony Pinkney was fatally shot in Philadelphia's Overbrook neighborhood. At approximately 8:26 p.m., while walking with friends along the 6000 block of Haddington Lane, a rapid succession of gunfire erupted. When the shooting ceased, Anthony was found lying in the street, having sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest. He was immediately transported to Lankenau Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m.
