On a Sunday afternoon, April 23, 2017, the life of 26-year-old Hyfez McClain was tragically cut short. At approximately 2:29 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to the 5700 block of McMahon Avenue, where they discovered McClain suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders quickly transported him to Albert Einstein Medical Center. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Hyfez McClain succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
He had been a resident of Marcella Street in Philadelphia.
In the years that have followed, the investigation into McClain's death has remained open. No suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to ask for the public's assistance, hoping that someone with information will come forward to help bring closure to his family.
