In the early hours of a Saturday morning in late February 2011, a dispute inside a North Philadelphia bar escalated to deadly violence, claiming the life of 26-year-old Christopher Keeys. The altercation, which took place at a tavern located on the 2600 block of Sergeant Street, tragically cut short the young man's life. He was a resident of the nearby West Huntingdon Street.
