On June 17, 1993, Robert S. Hayes, a 45-year-old male police officer with the Philadelphia Police Department, tragically lost his life while on duty. Officer Hayes and his partner, John Marynowitz, were investigating an occupied vehicle on Limekiln Pike near Andrews Avenue.
