David Padro Jr., a 22-year-old man from Camden, New Jersey, was fatally shot on July 22, 2021, outside Pat's King of Steaks in South Philadelphia. The incident occurred during an argument over a parking space that escalated into a physical altercation. According to witnesses, Padro Jr. was involved in a heated exchange with 36-year-old Paul Burkert of Reading, Pennsylvania. The confrontation turned deadly when Burkert pulled out a handgun and shot Padro Jr. in the back.
