On September 20, 2023, at approximately 7:39 p.m., 24-year-old Lavan "Van" Wilson was fatally shot on the 3200 block of Emerald Street in Philadelphia. Responding officers found Wilson unresponsive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
