Steven Peeples, aged 39, was murdered in North Philadelphia on September 14, 2013. He was found shot in his living room on the 1300 block of West Lippincott Street at around 1:40 a.m. by a family member. Steven had suffered gunshot wounds to both the head and stomach. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving. At the time of the discovery, there was no information about a suspect or possible motive for the homicide.
The Philadelphia police encouraged anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving the case.
On the night of the incident, Peeples had been out for a brief trip to the store to buy a candy bar for his grandmother. He returned to his grandmother’s house before the fatal attack occurred. The City of Philadelphia has offered a reward of up to $20,000 for any information that could lead to an arrest in the case.
