In the late afternoon of June 27, 2022, a dispute in the parking lot of a Popeyes restaurant in Stone Mountain, Georgia, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 25-year-old DeAngelo Taylor. The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. at the fast-food establishment located on Redan Road, near the intersection with South Hairston Road in DeKalb County.
