In the late summer of 2014, a 28-year-old man from the Ludlow neighborhood of Philadelphia, Isaiah Walker, became a victim of fatal gun violence. On the night of Saturday, September 6th, on American Street near Ontario in North Philadelphia, Walker was shot multiple times in the head. The shooting occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m.
Responding Philadelphia Police officers found Walker at the scene and immediately transported him to Temple University Hospital.
For two days, he fought for his life, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on Monday morning.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, investigators began searching for two male suspects, one of whom was believed to have been armed with a small revolver. The motive for the attack was not immediately clear, though the case was investigated as a robbery and homicide. Despite the ongoing investigation, there have been no arrests announced in the case, and no suspects have been publicly identified or charged in connection with Isaiah Walker's death. The case is considered an unsolved murder.
