In the early morning hours of a cold Friday in Philadelphia, on January 5, 2024, the life of 25-year-old Shaheed Jones was tragically cut short. A Black male, Jones resided on North Smedley Street, the very block that would become the scene of his untimely death. At approximately 7:48 a.m., the quiet of the 4900 block of North Smedley Street was shattered by the sound of gunfire.
