Jihad Carter, a 20-year-old Black male, was tragically killed on October 7, 2014, in Philadelphia. The incident occurred at around 9:11 a.m. on the 2100 block of Taney Terrace. Philadelphia police officers, responding to reports of a shooting, found Carter lying in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach.
