In the heart of West Philadelphia, the life of 28-year-old Jerry Brooks was tragically cut short on a Thursday afternoon in April of 2016. Around noon on April 21st, a 911 call reporting a person with a gun sent Philadelphia Police officers to the 700 block of South 58th Street. There, they found Jerry Brooks, a resident of the 5500 block of Catharine Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head.
