In the early morning hours of Monday, May 25, 2015, a sense of unease settled over the West Philadelphia neighborhood. The quiet of the night was shattered around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of 41st and Aspen Streets by the sound of a gunshot. When police responded to a call for a man shot in the shoulder, they found Kenneth Williams, a 24-year-old male, wounded.
