Averill General Reezy Davenport, a 34-year-old African American rapper from Philadelphia, PA, was tragically killed on August 8, 2018, in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred in North Philadelphia when a gunman in a silver minivan opened fire on a crowd with an AK-47 assault rifle. Davenport, known by his stage name General Reezy, was shot in the chest and later died at a nearby hospital. Another victim, 34-year-old Niesha Cooper, also succumbed to her injuries.
