On January 21, 2005, 25-year-old Tameka Rene Hartley was shot and killed while standing on the porch of her home in Portland, Oregon. The shooting occurred around 7:15 p.m. at her residence on NE 9th Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored, small to mid-sized vehicle slowly drive by Hartley’s house, from which multiple shots were fired in her direction before the car sped away. Despite immediate medical assistance, Hartley succumbed to her injuries during surgery.
