On the evening of October 25, 1991, forty-six-year-old Jeannette LaRue Perry was working at the Lucky Seven Liquor store on East Admiral Place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Having been in the area for only four months, she was nearing the end of her shift. Around 9 p.m., her mother arrived to help her close up for the night.
