In the spring of 2016, the life of a young Oklahoma City man, Otto Danyell Reed, Jr., was tragically cut short. Reed, a 19-year-old male, was born on May 5, 1996, to Otto Danyell Reed and Robyn Denise Jackson. He was the eldest of seven siblings and a recent graduate of Seeworth Academy in Oklahoma City, having proudly received his diploma in 2015.
Known for his vibrant personality and a smile that could brighten anyone's day, he enjoyed listening to music, telling jokes, and playing video games.
On March 10, 2016, in North Oklahoma City, Reed was shot and killed while reportedly running from gunmen. His death was a profound loss to his extensive family, including his parents, six younger siblings, grandparents, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who remembered him as a loving son, brother, and friend.
In the wake of the shooting, an investigation into Reed's death was launched. The inquiry ultimately led to the arrest of three individuals in connection with his murder. His family and friends were left to cherish the memories of a life they described as short but well-lived, forever missing his funny, sweet, and charming personality.
