Germont Mason, a 37-year-old Black African American man from Oklahoma City, spent the late morning of August 26, 2021 inside a home on the 3000 block of Cashion Place in the city's northwest side when an ordinary day turned into a scene of sudden violence. Sometime after 10 a.m., a 911 call reported that a man had been shot inside the residence.
