Diane Letresse Moss, 32, a Black woman from Birmingham, Alabama, died on February 12, 2012, after a shooting outside a nightclub at 1105 3rd Avenue West. In the darkness of the early morning, gunfire erupted outside the club, and when it was over, Moss was dead and two other people had been wounded. What should have been an ordinary night out instead ended on a Birmingham street with police trying to piece together what had happened and why.
