Quantez Bolston was a 19-year-old young man from Milledgeville, Georgia. Further details about his family, work, or education have not been publicly shared. He is remembered by those who knew him.

On the night of Monday, September 28, 2026, a fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of a convenience store. Around 11 p.m., officers from the Milledgeville Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at the CC Food Mart at 1212 North Jefferson Street. They arrived within a minute to find Quantez Bolston lying on the ground next to a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid until emergency medical services arrived. Bolston was transported to a hospital in Macon in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries the following afternoon, Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

The investigation into the shooting began immediately. Milledgeville Police Department detectives quickly identified a suspect. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, around 5 a.m., they located and arrested 20-year-old Daquavious Omarion Napier without incident. Investigators stated their belief that the shooting was not a random act of violence but stemmed from ongoing disputes connected to a gang-related homicide that occurred in 2023.

Initially, Napier was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, five counts of aggravated assault, participation in street gang activity, terroristic threats, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. After Bolston’s death on Tuesday afternoon, the charges against Napier were upgraded to include malice murder. The investigation continued, with police indicating that more arrests were expected as they pursued every available lead.

The following day, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the Milledgeville Police Department announced two additional arrests in connection with Bolston's death. Omarion King, 21, and Tyrecus Harrison, 20, were taken into custody. King was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and being a party to the crimes of felony murder and malice murder. Harrison was charged as a party to the crimes of aggravated assault, felony murder, and malice murder.

In a public statement, Major Linc Boyer of the Milledgeville Police Department addressed the violence, saying, "Senseless acts of violence have no place in our community. The Milledgeville Police Department will continue working proactively to prevent violent crime and relentlessly pursue those who choose to commit these acts." He also acknowledged the profound effect of such events on families, stating, "We also recognize that violent crimes such as this have lasting impacts on families on all sides. Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by this incident; however, we will not waver in our pursuit of justice or our responsibility to protect this community."

The police department affirmed its commitment to holding accountable anyone who participated in the crime or knowingly assisted those responsible. As of October 2026, the investigation was still considered active and ongoing. The cases against Daquavious Omarion Napier, Omarion King, and Tyrecus Harrison are proceeding through the legal system.
