In the early morning hours of August 14, 2026, the life of 39-year-old Samantha Petry was tragically cut short in her New Orleans home. Officers initially responded to a call of a suicide attempt at a residence near the intersection of Freret and Milan streets. Inside, they discovered Samantha Petry, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
