In the early morning hours of July 19, 2026, a gathering in the parking lot of Flavourz Lounge in Tulsa, Oklahoma, turned deadly. Ahmod Henry, a 47-year-old man, was fatally shot during the incident, which occurred around 4:15 a.m. near East 71st Street and South Memorial Drive. When Tulsa Police officers initially responded to reports of gunfire, they discovered several shell casings in the parking lot, but no victim was present as the crowd had scattered.
Shortly thereafter, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Henry was brought to a local hospital with a gunshot wound, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into Ahmod Henry's death quickly focused on 28-year-old Ladrea Doyle. Security personnel at the lounge reported that a large group of people had been drinking and socializing in the parking lot when one individual was seen with a firearm. As security was contacting the police, shots were fired. Homicide detectives reviewed surveillance footage from the area, which showed Doyle leaving the scene immediately after the shooting. Investigators were able to track Doyle to an apartment complex near East 81st Street and South Yale Avenue.
Later that day, officers with the Tulsa Police Department's Fugitive Warrants Unit apprehended Ladrea Doyle as he was leaving the apartment. During questioning, Doyle admitted to shooting Ahmod Henry. He claimed that Henry had been causing a disturbance at the gathering and had allegedly attempted to grab the gun from him, which led to the fatal shooting. Following his confession, Ladrea Doyle was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail. He was charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction. The case then moved to the judicial system for legal proceedings to address the charges brought against him.
