Do you know who murdered Michael?
In a quiet, upscale south Tulsa neighborhood, a grim discovery was made on the evening of Thursday, February 13, 2025. Ryan Davis, a 53-year-old male, was found deceased inside the home of his ex-wife. The events that unfolded revealed a chilling story that began with an act of bringing dinner to his former spouse and their nine-year-old daughter.

That evening, video surveillance showed Ryan Davis arriving at the residence in the 5800 block of East 128th Street at approximately 6:27 p.m., carrying food for three. Less than half an hour later, at 6:55 p.m., his ex-wife, 53-year-old Rachel Odom, was recorded leaving the house with their daughter. No one else was seen entering or leaving the home. Inside, Davis was discovered on the couch, having been shot twice in the back of the head. There were no signs of a struggle; he was found with a bowl of food still in his lap, suggesting the attack was sudden and unexpected.

The police were not alerted to the incident by a direct call for help. Instead, a convoluted chain of communication began with Odom contacting her family. This led to her family's attorney in Oklahoma City being notified, who in turn contacted Odom's Tulsa-based lawyer. It was this attorney who finally met officers at the south Tulsa home around 8:15 p.m., leading to the discovery of Davis's body. By this time, Rachel Odom had driven to Oklahoma City with her and Davis's young daughter.

After leaving her daughter with a family member in Oklahoma City, Odom checked herself into a local hospital. Oklahoma City police located her there and held her until Tulsa Police homicide detectives could arrive and take her into custody. Odom was then transported back to Tulsa for questioning. She did not provide any statements to the police and was subsequently booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of first-degree murder, where she is being held without bond. The firearm used in the homicide has not been recovered. Investigators are looking into the couple's past and their 2022 divorce to determine a motive for the fatal shooting.
