In a tragic turn of events that unfolded in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a family dispute escalated to a fatal conclusion. On the afternoon of April 9, 2023, police were dispatched to an apartment complex situated near 43rd Street and Garnett following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Ismael King suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.
Emergency medical services promptly transported King to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his severe injuries the following day. The investigation into the shooting quickly pointed towards a close family member as the primary suspect.
Detectives with the Tulsa Police Department identified Raterrius King, the victim's son, as the alleged shooter in his father's death. Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was charged with First-Degree Murder. On the Wednesday following the incident, Raterrius King voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and was taken into custody.
