On a tragic evening in New Orleans, 30-year-old Paul James Pham was killed on April 3, 2021. He was inside his white 2006 BMW 330i at the intersection of South Carrollton Avenue and Banks Street in the Mid-City neighborhood when the incident occurred.
The night before Easter, at approximately 11:04 p.m., two individuals opened fire, fatally wounding Pham. Following the shooting, his vehicle continued moving, eventually crashing into a pole at the intersection.
Emergency medical services arrived at the scene to find Pham suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
In the wake of the shooting, the New Orleans Police Department launched a homicide investigation. Authorities believe the perpetrators may have been driving an older model tan or silver SUV. A reward was offered by Crimestoppers for any information that could lead to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for Pham's death.
