On the evening of June 29, 2024, in a room at the Eagle Suites hotel located near 47th Street and Yale Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 56-year-old Bradley Dean Wallingford was found deceased. He was a White/Caucasian male. Responding to reports of gunshots at approximately 10 p.m., Tulsa Police discovered Wallingford had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Investigators utilized surveillance footage and accounts from eyewitnesses to quickly identify a 17-year-old male as a suspect in the
shooting. The teenage suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident. Due to the suspect's status as a member of a federally recognized tribe, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has become involved in the case, and federal murder charges are being pursued against him. The investigation into the circumstances that led to the deadly shooting is ongoing.
Bradley Wallingford was born on September 24, 1967, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and later graduated from Tulsa Will Rogers High School in 1986. He had a career as a machinist until a motorcycle accident in 2018. He was known for his enjoyment of football and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was remembered for his generosity and dedication to his family and friends. A gathering for family and friends was held on July 8, 2024, with a funeral service following on July 9, 2024, at the Jim Groesbeck Memorial Chapel in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
