In the winter of 2010, the life of 38-year-old Jerry Lee VanEllen, a male resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was tragically cut short in what police would later describe as a case of mistaken identity. On the evening of December 18th, an armed intruder forced their way into VanEllen's home, leading to a fatal shooting. The sudden and violent nature of his death left his family and community in shock.
