In the early evening of June 27, 2026, the life of 20-year-old Correnthian Jeremiah Cooks was tragically cut short in Cordele, Georgia. A former honor student at Crisp County High School and a U.S. Navy sailor, Cooks was in the 1000 block of Dayton Road at approximately 6:45 p.m. when gunfire erupted.
