In the small city of Cordele, Georgia, a Saturday evening in the spring of 2024 was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 27-year-old Christopher Lopez King Jr. On the night of March 23rd, gunshots echoed through the parking lot of a Quickmart convenience store on West 16th Avenue, a place of routine comings and goings turned into a scene of tragedy.
