On the evening of June 30, 2026, tragedy struck the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, when 18-year-old Tristan Taylor was shot and killed. Taylor, a recent honors graduate from Allderdice High School, was walking home with his family after a poignant balloon release. The memorial was for his cousin, Jo'Markius Fuller, who had also been killed by gun violence exactly eight years prior.
