In the early morning hours of the Fourth of July, 2026, a dispute at a Natchez, Mississippi nightclub called JROC's on Lower Woodville Road escalated into a fatal shooting. The life of 32-year-old Randolph Hannon was cut short in the ensuing violence. Another man, Michael Minor Jr., 31, was also killed, and a third individual, Lashonda Harris, sustained injuries. The Adams County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene around 5:44 a.m. in response to reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Hannon and Minor deceased from gunshot wounds. Harris had already been taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle for a gunshot wound to her face.
Investigators determined that the tragic chain of events began with a verbal altercation inside the club, reportedly over an illegal dice game. Surveillance footage from the nightclub proved to be a critical piece of evidence in piecing together the chaotic scene. According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, the video showed that after the initial argument, Minor walked away but then called Hannon outside. As Hannon moved towards the exit, Minor allegedly produced a handgun and shot him multiple times.
In the moments that followed the shooting of Hannon, as Minor attempted to flee the premises, another individual, 21-year-old Jaquavious Norman, allegedly opened fire from the rear of the building, shooting through an exterior wall. Minor was struck by this gunfire and died just outside the front entrance of the nightclub. Lashonda Harris was grazed in the face during this second round of shooting. The investigation into the death of Randolph Hannon remains ongoing.
Following a thorough investigation by the Adams County Sheriff's Office, which included the review of surveillance footage, Jaquavious Norman of Roxie, Mississippi, was identified as a suspect. He was subsequently arrested and charged with murder in the death of Michael Minor Jr. and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the shooting of Lashonda Harris. As of early July 2026, Norman was being held in custody without bond as prosecutors prepared the case against him. While an arrest has been made in connection with the death of the other victim and the injury of another, the case concerning the shooting of Randolph Hannon continues to be an active investigation as authorities work to bring a resolution to all aspects of the fatal incident at the nightclub.
